Introduction to Iyengar Yoga Weekend Workshop

This weekend workshop is designed to give you an insight as to how proper body alignment can dramatically deepen your yoga practice and experience. To understand what B.K.S Iyengar means when he says "Do Yoga Asanas by the body, for the mind, for the soul." We will learn the basic standing poses mindfully with total concentration and immersion in the poses so that the physical practice can reach your inner layers of the body to achieve harmony and a spiritual awakening in the body, mind and soul.

Iyengar Intensive Level 1

March 16, 17 & 18 - Mon, Tue & Wed, 9:00am - 1:00pm


For those who have at least 6 months of yoga experience. Learn how to prepare, get into and get out of the yoga poses. Learn how to do yoga with proper body alignments, how to check and see if you are doing it correctly and learn correct adjustment techniques by doing some partner works. Practice sheet and a written asignment will be given and a certificate of attendance will be given upon completion.

Standing Poses

April 6 - Monday, Time: 7:00 - 9:00pm

Standing Poses are the first thing that someone need to begins with, to learn yoga. They will learn the correct position and alignment of shoulder, chest, hands, feet, etc for each pose.  These standing poses build strong legs, increase general vitality, and improve circulation, coordination and balance, ensuring a strong foundation for study of more advanced poses.

Curing Common Ailments with Yoga

Devki comes to Singapore with the blessing of Guruji to share her more than 20 years of yoga experience at the Institute. Devki is one of the few teachers who is trusted to teach the advance class at the Institute. Want to know how Iyengar Yoga is taught at the institute led by B.K.S. Iyengar himself, don’t miss this very special opportunity.

Devki will guide you through a comprehensive range of asanas which exhilarates rejuvenates and relaxes the cellular body. She has requested that the workshop is kept to 3 hours a day to ensure that the participates get the maximum benefits.

*Due to many request, the weekdays time is changed to 6 - 9 pm
